Jon
Danzig is a journalist and media director, with considerable experience in the world of
publishing, broadcasting and short film production, contributing to a wide range of international
newspapers and magazines, television and radio.

Exclusive interview with
the British Prime Minister
His
first "scoop" was an exclusive interview, as a student at the age of
18, with the then Prime Minister, Edward Heath. Jon was trained at IPC Magazines where
he was involved in the launch of a new magazine for teenagers and exclusive interviews
with a range of pop stars - such as Elton John, Suzy Quatro, Rod Stewart ....

Editor of United Nations
newspaper
Jon
has worked on a number of United Nations projects and helped to produce a series of
international Action Packs on subjects such as "World Population"
and "World Environment". In Bucharest, Romania Jon was one of
the "Fleet Street" team of journalists that set-up and ran a daily newspaper for the United
Nations World Population Conference. He also developed and was editor
of a United Nations sponsored newspaper called, "Yes, But What Can I
Do?", on how people can act to resolve world problems.

A campaign about coffee
Jon
was one of the founders of "Campaign Co-op" in Oxford which organized
a national campaign about the plight of the world's coffee pickers. He
researched and co-wrote a book, "The World in Your Coffee Cup,"
distributed with 20,000 packs of coffee imported from East Africa. For War on
Want, he designed their “One Hours Pay” campaign, launched
by former Prime Minister Harold Wilson and supported by many MPs, celebrities
and thousands of working people who pledged one hour of their income to the
campaign.

Tracking down moon
astronauts
In
the USA, Jon was a foreign correspondent for two years,
writing extensively for the UK’s national press, such as the Daily Express,
Daily Mail and the London Evening News. One of his “scoops” was
to interview the US astronauts who went to moon for a feature called, “What
on earth are they doing?”. He was the only British journalist to track
down ex-call girl Norma Levy for an exclusive interview on why she had fled to
the USA after almost bringing down the British government.
Later on in the USA, Jon was Creative
and Business Consultant for the Golden Hinde, a floating educational
museum comprising a full-scale working replica of Sir Francis Drake's 15th
Century sailing ship,
about which Jon produced a film. On occasions, Jon took the role of Sir Francis
Drake himself, appearing on US TV and radio!

Tracking down villains
At
the BBC, Jon was an investigative journalist, and occasional
presenter, on Roger Cook’s "Checkpoint" programme, tracking
down villains and shady businesses. And Jon's series of investigative medical features
in The Times, the Daily Mirror and on television won him a Medical Journalism Research
Award.

Words, photos
and video tapes
Jon has written
over two million words for publication and had several thousands of his photographs
published around the world. And since founding LOOK-HEAR®, he has produced
around 100 short films.
